my 2000 stype is dead and i can not get into trunk and the battery?

car is dead and inside trunk button or car remote will not open trunk !  Can not jump
battery as its in trunk?

You can use the key to unlock the trunk.. It's on the lip above the Jag emblem on the trunk lid, Turn the key and push the button.

Your normal key should be able to unlock the doors and the trunk. Have you tried. NOT the remote pushbotton

Take the back seat out and the pull cable for the trunk is in there at the top of the deck where the speakers are

It is a constant hassle with the battery in trunk.I have a 2001 s type.I located the main power in hood compartment coming off fuse box on passenger side.It is easy it is largest wire and red.About three inches from fuse box I removed the wire casing exsposing the copper wiring.I covered with a piece of plastic designed to hold wires together.Whenever I have a dead battery I just pop trunk and hook charger to a ground and the positive to this bare wire after a few minutes I can pop the trunk and connect to battery.
