93 roadmaster turns but won't start. Help!

Asked by Apr 08, 2015 at 03:05 PM about the 1993 Buick Roadmaster 4 Dr Limited Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Normally starts and runs fine. Rained last
night and is wet out now it won't start.
Battery is connected and new. Fuel pump
and injectors work. Think perhaps it's
flooded so I disconnected the injectors and
try to get it to burn off the excess and start
but that's not working. Please help I need
this car to get back and forth to work

If you think it's flooded hold the accelerator pedal to the floor while cranking. This puts the computer in "clear flood mode". Since it's been wet it sounds like an ignition problem. When was the last tune up (plugs, wires, cap, and rotor). If more than 30 months or 30,000 miles ago you're overdue. HTH. -Jim
