My digital climate control panel and radio read out have disappeared and dashes are in their place.

Asked by Mar 22, 2015 at 05:14 PM about the 1995 Buick Riviera Supercharged Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The digital climate control read out and the digital radio read out have been replaced by dashes ---. How to repair this?

1 Answer

The climate control is a faulty head unit (very common for this car) and the radio probably has the security feature engaged. Try eBay for the climate control unit. $60 - $120 or so. Part #16214484 on a 97 Riviera. Not sure if it's the same for 95, so do some research before you buy. As for the radio display, I read about it somewhere on Google when I was trying to troubleshoot the alarm on my car with no remote for it.
