My digital climate control panel and radio read out have disappeared and dashes are in their place.

The digital climate control read out and the digital radio read out have been replaced by dashes ---. How to repair this?

The climate control is a faulty head unit (very common for this car) and the radio probably has the security feature engaged. Try eBay for the climate control unit. $60 - $120 or so. Part #16214484 on a 97 Riviera. Not sure if it's the same for 95, so do some research before you buy. As for the radio display, I read about it somewhere on Google when I was trying to troubleshoot the alarm on my car with no remote for it.
