Why will my Buick not Turn over

My 2003 Buick rendezvous powers on everything
That’s used power to work radio down to the
window/ locks on door and the head lights are
bright but still when turning the key to the on
position nothing happen and no sound just will not
turn over...
wonder what’s a good code reader for my Buick
Would anyone know why it might not turn over

Try putting the car in neutral to start. It could be a position sensor in the steering column

I mean the shifter itself. Not the steering column. Good luck
