1996 blazer 4x4 shifts into rd and freewinds , overdrive seems to want to catch butunder load it to freewinds . what could cause this ?

4X4 control module, faulty 4X4 switch, bad position sensor on the shift motor assembly, worn transfer case internal componets, transmission pressure problems, sticky valve body or shift solenoids, worn internal clutches, just too many things that can happen here, it would be best to have a good shop take a look at it.
