There is a heater hose at the intake behind the alternator. It has a quick disconnect that is screws into the manifold. These have a tendency for failure. Also the intakes manifold gaskets tend to leak coolant with age and high mileage.

That's what my pastor said thank you i guess just bad luck and timing but is that expensive mark

Yes the car has really high miles so it could either be the water pump or the heater hoses or gaskets???? Im sorry i dont no anything about cars and i dont want someone to take advantage of me my kids and i are going through alot so i dont wanna get took

And i think he did buy a hose and some clamps when he did the heater

Even if it is a water pump you should be have it done under $250.00. if someone one does the labor as a gift, it should be under a Hundred.

Ok do you think the car could make it from carrollton tx to dallas tx

It barely leaks while the car is started my temp gauge never goes completely in the red it goes to the half and a little bit passed half i can drive for mayb ten mins so it prob wont make it we have no clothes the guy i was with put us out and now this idk anything about cars as far as major things go

On a temp gauge half way between cold and hot is normal. And even a little past is okay. its only when it swings all the way over to the "H" is it overheating. If you have to travel take 2 gallons of premixed antifreeze 50/50 mix. So if it leaks out you can add more to the radiator but only add when the engine is cooled down.

take it to a mechanic, they can find the leak in no time. Without being there we can only guess what it is. But there are alot of things that can leak coolant in that area.
