The parasitic draw coming from battery fuse!
I have a 1997 Tahoe 350 Vortex, the battery goes dead after a few days of not driving it. I went to a shop left the truck for a week. They couldn't find any reason for the draw. I have a new battery (the third one) everybody said it was a bad battery. I went on youtube to find all the test to track down the parasitic draw. Well the only fuse that stop the draw (.98 amps) was the battery fuse. What do I need to do to fix this issue?
If shop could not find the issue, and it is the battery fuse that is doing it,your iginition switch is bad,or it is the ECM.
Found the draw, it was an out of order old alarm system.Disconnected all the wires for their small alarm system. Tahoe runs better than it has in years with NO battery draw!
