Blinker only works when I press the brake pedal slightly

I have brake lights just having a blinker
problem

Sounds like a bad turn signal switch in the steering column. This switch actually completes the circuit to ground. The wiring for the brake lights passes through the turn signal switch. The brake light switch also completes that circuit to ground to make the brake lights come on. By pressing the brake pedal you're providing ground to make the turn signals work since ground is not being provided by the turn signal switch. HTH. -Jim
