I have a 97 Chevy Tahoe and the brakes keep locking up when I hit them and will not release till at a complete stop . I have replaced the front brakes back brakes caliper in front cylinders in back
Best have it checked out, I suspect something with the ABS.
Another cause would be the break line hoses, they do deteriorate from the inside and collapse causing restrictions in the flow of the brake fluid.
Thank you I just went and bought brake lines so I hope this works I have had a few people tell me check the master cylinder what do you think
Never heard of a master causing breaks to lock up, if anything it would be in the ABS. Now it is not the steal break lines themselves but the hose that goes to the calipers, and there is one more from to the rear end, you'll see it what I am talking about.
OK I'll look now I unplugged the fuse to abs and it locked up worse what's ur thoughts on that?
I'm thinking the ABS should be checked out before replacing the flexible lines, You can return them.
