Knocking noise when idling

Asked by Apr 28, 2016 at 03:20 PM about the 1997 Chevrolet Suburban C1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Suburban has a knocking noise after I start it
and we're just idling in park I don't know what it
could be. Could the air filter or oil filter be causing
this problem?

Knocking or slight ticking? It will not be the airfilter or oil filter.

I would check for an oil pressure problem.
