Ford edge front defroster problem

Asked by Nov 10, 2013 at 07:40 AM about the 2007 Ford Edge SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2007 ford edge is blowing cool air when defrost is on and smells like coolant? Is the
blower motor, fuse, or a leak

A leak, most likely the heater core, not an easy job but if you want heat you will have to fix it, if you don't want heat you can bypass the heater core supply and return lines. As it is a coolant leak something will need to be done soon or engine overheat will result.
