Jeep will not move or will not accelerate

Question type: General

It will start but will not accelerate or
move forward or reverse but also
brake pedal is hard. After starting it
and shutting it of it worked fine.
The transmission is full and not
slipping.

You have an 09 commander it goes in forward and reverse but won't accelerate or shift what would cause this
