3.55 Slip Differential
My 2007 Mustang GT came with 3.55
gears which is a LSD. So my question is if I
start from a stop and jump on it will I leave
rubber on the road from both tires? Is
there a switch I need to turn on or off to do
so. Please advise.
LSD is just that, limited slip, so you will never get both tires to slip that much to lay rubber on a factory setup. You need to purchase a race differential that will have less slip.....http://www.americanmuscle.com/mustang-lsd-0510.html....A switch your talking about is a line lock. Only came as an option on the 2015 on up.
Wow. I thought LSD was just another word for Posi-traction that GM used. So do you have any suggestions for me. Yukon or Ford Racing. Is mine an 8 spline? Thanks
check here, lots of good info and drivers that can help more than me.....corral.net
