I have a 2007 mustang gt and when I get into the throttle it makes a ticking noise but it only ticks when I get into it at rpms of 2500 and above, what could it be?! I need some help fast!
Sounds like you need a higher octane fuel. HTH. -Jim
How's the oil level?
Oil level is reading full on the stick, and I already run 93 octane in it at all times do you think that's still to low
It sounds like you've got spark knock, go with a octane boost for a tank full, if that doesn't help, adjust your lifters, they could drifting at low RPM's
If you are already using , 93 octane, then your combustion chamber is loading up with unburned fuel, just try REG. go back to 87, witch is required from the factory! on that V8...The reason high-performance cars tend to use high octane, is because it lowers the risk of detonation/pre-ignition/knocking when using high compression pistons/advanced timing/forced induction. Increases in performance are NOT from using higher octane, but from the tuning it allows. So if you have not electronically tune the computer, your just throwing money out the exhaust.....hope this helps
