what do I have to do to get new stabilizer bar (also called sway or control bar) on?

Asked by Feb 22, 2015 at 05:11 PM about the 2004 Buick Regal GS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I removed the old bar because one end was rusted off. The new bar is just enough different that it won't go thru the tight space. I must  have to lower the engine subframe, if so, does that affect the connection between steering column and steering gear?

Something like that I would try a wrecking yard. They will also tell you which models interchange. It will cost less than than a new one, that is usually why I go there.
