Just did head gasket on buick machined heads 3angle valve job magnafluxed put together no water flow pulled thermostat, nothing wondering can you bolt heads on backwards cause waterpump worked fine

Sounds like the gaskets were put on wrong and the cooling system passages are blocked. Did you bleed the air out of the cooling system? It could just be airbound. HTH. -Jim

Possibly wrong head gaskets or installed wrong covering the cooling passages.
