My 2002 Volvo S80 has a STRONG gasoline odor, why?
Anytime I drive my car there is strong gasoline odor. Often times after driving my car, while it is parked it odor still
lingers. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? What makes the car smell as if I have an open container of
gasoline inside the car??? If so, what has to be done to correct the problem?
Thanks for taking the time to view/answer my question.
Either the fuel vent is clogged or there is a small leak. Best to get it check out ASAP. It's not good to be inhaling gas fumes or dealing with fuel leaks which can lead to fires.
