2000 s80 t6 starts fine cold, run 30 min, let sit 5 min, wont start @ smell fuel

just replaced fuel pump, had to bang on tank to get started

If you have to bang on tank,i think you may need to check that new fuel pump,and if you smell gas,the seal around where you pulled pump is bad,leaking gas and loosing pressure.
