my heater fan goes on randomly everybody thinks it's an ignition switch

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my volvo guy ordered an ignition switch and its a dual air system, when I turn the switch
on and off it goes off. I read on some of your answers you may think it a fan going bad or
some kind of module. at the volvo shop they quoted about $170 for the module. What do
you think?

...personally one must look at the age of the battery...and the condition of the main connection to the ground....disassemble the lug (1/0) cable off the battery....wirebrush it clean and the territory that it bolts to....with a solid ground...(as dis-similar metals form a "semi-conductor" layer of corrosion there) and a NEW battery, you problems WILL go away~
