Depends on the shop, some shops do strictly book time, others do actual time, and what the current labor rate is at that shop. so if the shop is on book rate and the rate is 100 bucks an hour and the book says 1 hour it would be 100 bucks, but if the shop is on time rate and the is 100 bucks an hour but it only takes 30 minutes to do the job then it would be 50 bucks. You will find that most shops use book time today, but there are still a few that still use straight time. HTH
