Can I drive to get an oil change?
We experience a flooding. Idk how high the
water got. But, I was able to crank it. The
low oil pressure light is on. Can I drive it to
get an oil change ?
I wouldn't!! The light comes on when oil pressure is DANGEROUSLY low. Like 4 to 6 PSI. Normal oil pressure is like 30 PSI fully warmed up. HTH. -Jim
Do not drive, have it towed. If there is water in the oil due to a flood then I would recommend that you also change the fluids in transmission and differentials also. If there was any water inside the vehicle then you maybe in for electronic problems as time goes on.
DO NOT DRIVE IT OR RUN THE ENGINE!!!
