Where do I recharge the freon on a 93 960? Type and location under hood?

Asked by Sep 08, 2016 at 12:03 PM about the 1993 Volvo 960 Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Heat exchanger has a slight crack and replacing it is too expensive.  How can
I recharge the freon and just live with the leak?

If I remember right. You have to pop off the grill and on top of condenser their you will find the high side port. The low side I think is down low in the low side line coming off compressor

If it is truly cracked, the refrigerant won't hold for any length of time. Your car originally came with R12 which is no longer available. You will need to perform the conversion to the new R134a. a mechanic or AC shop will be able to help.

Seek an expert as it is obvious that you don't have a clue.
