I have a 1998 chevy suburban and just had a repair on the tranny and now the transmission guy is calling saying it wont start. please help i know when he replaced the tranny the same thing happend a year ago but I dont know what we did to fix it but i know it cost us alot of time and money on parts we didnt need!
well, to change a trans the starter has to come off, so double check all connections to it. The computer may need to relearn the trans, It wont crank if the neutral safety switch signal isnt there. This is an electronic transmission so its relayed by sensors. Your best bet is to contact GM and ask them.
WOW, hopefully you got this resolved, curious to know what it turned out to be. Scary that the shop who was repairing your transmission didn't know these things, and called YOU for help, thats NOT a good start (no pun intended). But, along another line of thinking, does your Suburban happen to have an Alarm System or something that might be causing this no-start issue.
