1998 Chevrolet Malibu LS 3.1 V6
I have a problem with my 1998 chevrolet malibu LS 3.1 with over heating
I have replaced every thing concerning the cooling system, and it overheated and blow
up the motor
TSo now I have replaced the motor completely and this motor is is over heating too.
I have bled the cooling system, have changed the thermostat 5 times, replaced the
Cooling temperature sensor 3 times. Flush the heater core 2 times. What the hell is
wrong with car? The only thing I can try is to by pass the heater core or run the fans
on, on at all times. Replaced motor runs great like the previous one did before that one
Could it be a computer issue?
very possibly a bad head gasket. a combustion leak test kit is about 40 bucks. you can google a youtube vid on how to perform it. checks for combustion gasses in your cooling system.
I think you may want to check the water pump,in the motor you just replaced,
You never mentioned anything about the radiator. Have you had it pressure checked for leaks or clogs? Have it checked.
It has to be the radiator , what else is left
