brake lights are out but the third one worksd

Mechanic says I need a brake light switch but
can't find one

If that doesn't solve the problem it could be the turn signal switch. Power for the outboard brake lights goes through the turn signal switch. But the third brake light is wired directly to the brake light switch. HTH. -Jim

It's the four way switch I have av99 Chevy luminaries I had the same problem got the switch change and it works great
