My 1990 Mazda's air con. acting up

Asked by Dec 03, 2015 at 12:15 PM about the 2004 Mazda B-Series Truck 2 Dr B2300 Standard Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The heater works and blows great but when the ac is put on it blows great but
when you slow down speed or stop it makes and awful rattling noise like it is
going to shake off or something.What can be causing this?It is a 1990 Mazda
B 2200 5 speed truck.Related car info does not go back this far.Sorry for the
mis info.

Open the hood while the car is idling and check the serpentine belt area and the pulleys/bearings one or some are worn making the noise. Maybe even a water pump or AC compressor.
