I unhooked both terminals from the battery for little over an hr and its still on. ??

try leaving the key in the on position while disconnecting leave it on while it is disconnected, but do not forget to turn key back to off possition and remove before reconnecting battery. this is to ensure that the pcm power train control module) is completly drained of power. hope this helps.

Your Camaro is OBD II. It must be cleared using a scan tool. However if the repairs were done & truly solved the problem the chec engine light will go off on it's own. It may take a few days because the computer must run several diagnostic test on various systems to make sure everything is working properly. To help speed this process up simply drive normally but with no more that 3/4 of a tank of gas or no less than 1/4 tank. HTH. -Jim

You need ascan tool to do this. Napa, Autozone or any autoparts store will have on you can either rent or borrow, but for the price I say buy one. I know mine has saved both my wife and I tons of money in repairs and unneccessary trips to the mechanic.
