When I try and get my1998 Chevy S10 Blazer smoked in California, it fails and
gets an 'intermittent misfire' code on the computer. All other values are good.
The code can be cleared, but reappears when the engine is run up to 2500
RPM for 2 minutes, part of the smog test. My mechanic cannot figure it out.
Sounds like an ignition system failure. Usually when you get a misfire under load it's an ignition coil breaking down. HTH. -Jim
