I own a 1998 chevy blazer. It feels like heater is always on. I have been told that that the heater valve can be stuck in on position. How would I detremian that this is the problem. Also Air conditioner has been refilled, compressor works and stystem is holding pressure. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreceated.
It's most likely a blend door stuck, possible servo motor or control module, the code will have to be pulled on the system to track down what servo or door has failed. In the mean time you can get 2 hose pliers and pinch off both heater hoses under the hood, this will keep the heater core from getting any hot coolant from the engine and help keep you cooler until you have time to get it checked out and repaired.
