If you replace the rear struts/shocks on a 2006 IS 250, will it provide a smoother ride overall for the expense or just be a expensive fix?
It will give you a better ride if the old ones are bad. But on a Lexus you are not going to improve factory suspension with aftermarket
That all depends on the type of replacements you buy, there are OEM's, Auto adjust, manual adjust or you can replace the entire strut assembly with new springs that can also be variable rate. So talk with the shop doing the work, tell them what your concerns are, the type of driving you do, road conditions you drive on everyday, and how much you have to spend.
