what is the piece of piping that the coolant runs through that is located in the back with the engine

my alt belt was toasted so it made my van overheat than i cracked that part and now i need to get a new one and i dont know what its called. can u help me out here?

Sounds like one of the heater hoses perhaps? Is it metal piping or rubber?
