if you really want to go with something nice i would skip the VW altogether. the phaeton is a nice car don't get me wrong there but an audi is much better. granted it runs a bit more richly on fuel but you can get a sensibly priced used audi for a decent price. the a6 is a good and roomy car and great for some one up there in thier years. the a8 is also a nice car. if you want something smaller and better priced a a3 would be the best bet as the a4's are great but slightly cramped of a car and the a3 is essentially the same thing as a a4 just a little less pricier.

Do you like how the Phaeton drives, and are you prepared to have alternate transportation if it isn't always running?
