There is this weird noise that is sort of like wistleing or like its rubbing somewhere. The noise comes from where the fan in located in the front. Noise is only on cold start. After a minute or two noise goes away. I don't know what it is. Its very weird. please help??

Fan bearing, one of your pulley bearings, or water pump.

I have the same problem, it was a hose that had split on both end. check yours hoses before you buy parts. the hose was located on the right side of the motor that attaches to the wall of the car.I have a 06 Passat.
