where is the switch for the rear interior courtesy light in the estate model
The rear light which lights up the boot area of the VW passat estate does not function. I have checked the bulb and bulb housing and this is fine, so no power is reachin it. I have removed the interior pannel to the boot (tailgate) but can find no obvious clues. There must be a micro-switch somewhere which activates the light when the bood is opened. Any one know where it is?
Not sure that there is a micro-switch for the boot light. If could be that the fuse is blown or the wires to the light are faulty. Change the fuse. See if it makes a difference.
This is my only answer so it's the best answer! Thaks for the helpful ideas which I will look into. There must be something to activate the light when the boot opens, so I will keep looking!! Thanks.
there is a gravity switch not shure about your model though
