Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The code epc came up. Was never under the hood, just put new rotors and
brake pads on. What would cause this epc code to show and how can I fix it?

Drive the car over to your local auto parts store and have them scan for the codes. Post the 4 digit codes back here for further help.

CHECK your oil..The EPC light is connected to a pressure sensor in the block. Open the oil filler cap, any pressure released?. A suggestion too its 2017 BUY a code reader! (NO, its not the same as a real scanner) but for the cost of lunch you can own an Elm 327 dongle and use a dashboard app on your phone.. I'm giving these away to my multi vehicle customers.

I have same EPC sign on my Audi A-4 while running. It runs very well. I had checked with Auto Zone for Engine Codes. They said it does not show any code. I also opened the oil filler cap to release any pressure. NO LUCK. Still I have the same EPC problem. Any suggestion will be appreciated....FROM: this frustrated Audi owner.
