2001 vw beetle quit blowing cold, replaced defectived left side cooling fan, compressure clutch engages but doesnot load down engin. is there anything else i can check or a work around i can try?

For about 60 bucks you can get a recharge kit at an auto parts store. It will come with a gauge and full instructions. its not hard to do. you probably have a leak somewhere. If the recharge works but doesn't last, you definitely have a leak and will need an expert to help with that. good luck
