How much would you pay for a 2000 VW Beetle Turbo?

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

How much would you pay for a red 2000 VW Beetle Turbo that has a clutch that's about
to go out? I'm thinking about selling it privately vs trade-in. It has 120,000 miles, manual
stick shift, sunroof, leather heated seats. It has some normal paint wear also. I think I
may get more from a private party sale than dealership.

IMO: If your in the USA, Trade-in price is around $2000 if the dealer your trading it in notices the bad clutch. Selling private expect the same amount. If you fix the clutch, you can maybe get $4000 for it privately, and $3K for trade in. Just my 2 cents. I can be wrong, but this is a best guess.
