I cannot open the rear door to my truck

1.) Make sure all the doors are closed, and then insert the key without turning it. 2.) Press and hold the "Unlock" button on the door panel (hold it while performing step three). 3.)Turn the ignition to "On" (without cranking), and then back to "Off". Then, turn it to "On" and back to "Off" again. 4.)Release the "Unlock" button on the door panel. 5.)Press and hold the "Unlock" and "Lock" buttons on your remote until the door locks cycle (this will take approximately 30 seconds).

This didn't do anything for me, or else I did it wrong. I followed the instructions but nothing work. Problem still exists. I can manually open the door but not with the remote, nor can I press the button on the rear door to close it. that's not working either.
