First thing I would do is put a new battery in your fob. The dealers say only they can do it, but I took mine to RadioShack and they fixed it right up.

HI DavidH25 I put battery in .Every thing works but the trunk and it is intermittent it will reset it self if i put the key in .Some it takes 2or3 times before it works . TKS for the reply .Lionel

Hi Lionel,1) When the car's 12v battery is replaced all the locks and windows improve in response to FOB 2)Douse the latch with lithium lube or other type even the key hole 3) Remove the multi pin connector and apply electrical contact cleaner Sometimes these measures might restore proper operation.

The trunk lock actuator May need to be replaced. Mine did. I tried to rebuild it, I got it to work for about 2 or 3 times butI The white plastic lost its stiffness And kept letting the spring slip the gear. It's a white plastic box With wires coming in and a black piston coming out.

Hi replacing the the lock was only thing to get it to work TKS to all that answer my inquiry .

You can replace the battery on your 2013 Jetta fob by simply popping the cover open, go to homedepot or radio shack and ask for the CR2032 3 volt battery.
