i have a 1999 Tahoe v8 5.7 litter been setting for 3 years ran when park now my ignition lock my battery no good it want turn over are nun just lot of clicking
You a fresh battery to start with, then check the main power and ground cables for corrosion, twist the battery cables some, if you hear a crunching sound then just replace them as corrosion has got inside the cables, same with the big red wire that goes from the battery to the main power distribution box. I assume that you have already changed the oil and filter, drained and added fresh fuel with some Techron in it. It would also be a good idea to remov the spark plugs and squirt a little oil into each cylinder, and if the plugs look worn replace them. The oil will help lube the dry cylinder walls and help keep the valves from sticking on initial start up. Then after it is finally running make sure you change all of the other fluids, especially the brake fluid as it can pull the moisture right out of the air and cause the brakes to lockup when they get hot.
