If the dealer won't budge on the price, leave your contact info and walk away. Use emotions to find the car, use negotiation skills to buy it. He doesn't have the best Jetta in the world.

They sell for $4500-$5600 in my area. I had to guess at the mileage and model but that dealer is high in more than one way...

you DO have to walk away at least once if you want a decent price, and if he claims he has that much into it? -- that's a bad sign too!
