Gas pedal not acting right?
Hello everyone, I have a problem
with my Jetta. The problem is that
when I'm driving and I give it has I
can feel that the gas pedal isn't the
same. It's almost as if the pedal is
weaker. I has it harder and the car
barely gains speed. If I put it to the
ground it feels like I'm slowly
accelerating. What can cause this?
Please tell me any and all things that
might be wrong. Thanks!
lack of power and transmission problems can cause this effect. not really the gas pedal. You need to check first that the transmission is not failing or the gears are slipping (if automatic) or the clutch if manual transmission is installed. check the maintenance every filter and spark plugs included. clean the throttle and calibrate it if you have a proper scanner for that. if more help needed don't hesitate to write back.
Hi, I was having the same problem, lack of power, two transmission shops don't found the cause....NO CODES, I was hopeless until I read that the pedal has a sensor, no cable to the throttle body...I went to the self service wrecking yard, got one, installed (3screws), and the miracle occurs....I GET THE POWER.
yes the light on the dash EPC will light up. When you plug the computer in to car P2138 Throttle paddle position sensor switch D/E voltage correlation.
