2002 jetta azg engine, where does the # 1 piston need to be when installing the head? I read certain engines need to be at tdc others are not to be at tdc.please help
Just make sure all the valves are closed ... it will be sync when the timing belt is installed properly
You will have to rotate the engine (so leave the plugs out until the timing belt is installed .... the timing belt position is Critical !! Do not rotate the engine until you are absolutely sure the belt is aligned properly ... a misaligned belt can result in a collision (on some cars) between the valve and piston
The question is the piston because aba says not to be at tdc while aeg says to be at tdc... I haves azg engine
Thank you for answering my ?.s much appreciated
