I have replaced the camshaft sensor and the auxiliary water pump. No EPC light coming on, but my car is still dieing after running for about 30 minutes. The temperature gauge is 190 and it never goes higher, but the batter light comes on and the engine turns off???? Can someone please help me. its a 2002 VW jetta 1.8 only 104,000 miles on it.. Great car before now
Have the battery and alternator checked,
Thanks for your answer. One question. All lights and all instruments are still working. You can use all the power locks and radio. The car turns over, but it will not start. 15 minutes it starts up and we are off going down the road. Could that be a heat sensor of some kind? There is problem light coming on, but the car just dies. No sputtering or jumping, just boom silently dies. Thx
