2002 jetta fans run after ignition is off

i have a vw jetta and the fans stay on even after the ignition is off and key is out, will run until the battery is dead. I have replaced the coolant sensor and the computer sensor on the overhead coolant line to block fans still run. any sugestions?

Sounds like the fan relay is bad.

Have you replaced the thermo-switch in the radiator?

Item 17 in the diagram. There's also a control module shown in another diagram.

I'm having the same problem with my 2005 Jetta

Guys big help, i have a 2013 passat baught it title rebuilt currently reparing however im looking to see if anybody knows where i can find the ambient sensor on the car
