car won`t start, nor the remote or windows working
I bought a 99 volkswagen Jetta 2.0l
Got the engine replaced and the headgasket,so engine runs like new.
Next day i tryed to start the car but won`t start nor the remote nor the windows work with the hey in the ignition.
weird is the engine starts when i use a wire to the starter
so what could the problem be????
check your ignition system something went bad i would try disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes first see if that works. Also touch the terminals together (while both disconnected) to completely drain the charge from the car to reboot it fully. be sure to have your radio code handy if it has the original stereo in it
oh and check your fuses in the side of the dash if the problem persues have the realys checked. But really the best thing you can do is take it to a vw specialist and have them check the computer for issues. Do not go to the average joe blow mechanic since most of them do not have hte proper software to properly diagnose an issue with your vw
Fuse #14 was the problem for all!!!!! now everything is working again, thanks for the info guys!!
np and your welcome :)
