I have a 1998 VW Jetta, i bought here not to long ago. It does this thing where when I accelerate, it hesitates so bad that it almost brakes. But the rpms remain going up. I was told it was the motor
ok so let me get this straight the cars rpms go up like ussualy expected when hitting the gas but the car takes like 10-20 seconds to get moving ? does it do this in the manualy selected gears ? also does it do it in the tip tronic? Also try going under the car and grab the front drivers side drive axel near the base of the trany and see if it shakes or moves at all. if the peice that goes directly into the trany moves you need some new bearings in that side diferental. if not we move on to the other side (which requires a full tear down of the trany to do the bearings in.)
