I would like to ask My 2002 VW gti 1.8t has been making a solid clicking sound when I turn on the drivers side.It happens on every other turn and only clicks once. It seems like its occurring more
I don't know if its the wheel barrings, tie
rod, control arms or what plz help contact
me at email@example.com
this is ussaly related to the tie rod. Go out to your car and if you can jack it up on hte front end so hte tires are either almost or fully off the ground. Now turn your wheels back and forth to fully determine where the noise is coming from. have some one give you a hand and be sure to have some jack stands under the car so it does not tip over onto them.
While your under there, inspect those CV boots...you could have the beginning of failed CV joint. Fortunately, rebuilt axles with CVs are readily available and a good choice for a DIY project in your driveway/garage.
