Question type: Maintenance & Repair

car said stop, temperature went to top and said engine coolant after checking coolant found it to be correct level

1 Answer

Could be as simple as an air bubble in the system, or a failed coolant temp sensor. Have the system pressure checked as soon as possible. You may even just need a new radiator cap. But you may have larger problems and you'd do best not to drive it with the chance of overheating it.
