check for proper spark , fuel pressure , injector pulse . Do you hear the fuel pump prime the system when you hit the key ? Check for good ground before replacing pump .

If the engine turns over then it’s not the neutral switch. You need compression, fuel and spark for it to run. A quick check is spray some starting fluid in the intake and see if it will try to run, if it does then you have a fuel delivery problem, if it doesn’t then it’s spark.

If the engine cranks it's not the neutral safety switch. Do as beatupchevy said. If you have spark and fuel but it still won't run it's time to do a compression test. If all cylinders test very low or zero the timing chain or belt has jumped. Hope that helps! Jim
